About Us

UCAN - Undivided Community Acts Network is a nonprofit organization operating as a ministry under The Door Church in LaPorte, IN.

Our mission is to bring support to our neighbors such as Senior Citizens, Veterans, Individuals with Disabilities, and Neighbors with limited resources across LaPorte County Indiana by bringing our community together in unity. Through the help of volunteers, businesses, organizations, and community partners, we connect neighbors with people who may choose to offer assistance with yard clean‑up, basic home maintenance, and other home‑related needs and services.

UCAN does not provide these services directly; we help neighbors get connected to the support they need through volunteers and our referral network, UCAN uses a simple verification process to confirm each request before connecting anyone to our referral network.

Building a Network: We visit and call local businesses and organizations to build relationships and invite them to join our referral network, where they can choose to offer discounted services, donated labor, or other support for neighbors in need across Laporte County.

Donations to: UCAN help expand this support network by covering essential resources, supplies, and connection costs so more neighbors can access to the help they need now.

Our goal is to assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment to make daily life more manageable. With the support of our dedicated volunteers and partners, we strive to provide a wide range of housekeeping services that ensure community members especially

General Cleaning

Keeping living spaces fresh and organized so the home becomes more manageable for the resident.

Trash Removal

Helping remove household waste and clutter to create a safer, healthier environment.

Window Cleaning

Connecting neighbors with volunteers or partners who may choose to clean interior or exterior windows.

Carpet Cleaning

Referrals to volunteers or partners who may help refresh and maintain carpets.

Power Washing

Connecting homeowners with support for cleaning driveways, patios, siding, and other outdoor surfaces.

City & County - Community Fix‑It Days

By bringing licensed business professionals together, we are proud to offer our community "Fix-It Days." This initiative is designed to help those who have projects they can't afford or items that are broken but don't have the money to fix. Our goal is to provide essential repairs and improvements, ensuring everyone has access to a safe and comfortable living environment.
